Sea salt is full of minerals that are not found in processed salt. Sicilian sea salt comes from water drawn in from the sea by windmills that were built by the Phonecians 2500 years ago.
It tastes "saltier" than regular salt, so use carefully. This salt is not boiled, bleached nor oven dried. It will clump, because it does not contain the chemical that keeps salt from clumping.
Because it tastes saltier, you will use less and therefore consume less sodium over time.
"Use a salt grinder for the course ground, NOT a pepper grinder; the metal blades of a pepper grinder will rust if it is used for salt. Salt grinders have special ceramic blades that will not corrode from the dampness of the salt."
